OLF celebrates 66th Republic day with gaiety and fervour.
The 66th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Our Lady of Fatima on 26th Jan.2015.A wide range of special activities,centered around the theme,were conducted to instill the spirit of national pride and love for the country.
A Republic Day parade was held at the school with the students of Class IX participating in it.
Sister Stainalaus graced the occasion with the principal Sr.Deepti which filled the air with nationalistic zeal and enthusiasm.
The choir group sung the national anthem”Jan Gana Mana”.The whole school joined the choir and the national anthem reverberated in the surroundings.
It was followed by a patriotism poem by a student of class VII.It then took a proceed by a beautiful folk dance from punjab which was presented by girls of class VII.The melodious music and graceful movements of dancers were spellbinding.
The Head Girl of the school spoke about the significance of the day in the form of a speech which spread a wave of love for country.
a power packed dance performance was presented by a student underlying the love for the country.All the children exhibited their talent with great gusto and enthusiasm.
Sr.Deepti felicitated a student from class VIII”Kanak Gautam” who 3rd prize on Himalayan Day on Environment Day.Later she addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indians.
The celebration culminated with a “Vote of Thanks”being delivered by Sr.Deepti.The students dispersed with the image of the fluttering”tricolour”in their minds.
